Trauma Training Takeaway

In any group or classroom children are gathered, there are traumatic experiences that often lie inside behaviors or in repressed emotions. The focus should be on building relationships and nurturing a “felt safe” space. It is also important to note that children who come to faith spaces may often come with grownups in their lives, and in a season of their lives where children are laying the foundation for what they will believe. We should view these gatherings as an opportunity to expose children to open-minded connections of spirituality, social justice, and connections to one another.
