Tree Art

By Holly Madden

Trees are one of the most incredible parts of our living world, they purify our air, give us oxygen, tend to the soil and land, give shelter and food to so many living things, and naturally heal us and our planet.

Connecting is one of the purest ways we can connect to the wild world. This practice honors this earth-connection, which is also a way to connect to the entire world because trees sustain our clean air, fresh water, rainfall, most of the our animal species, and us.

Trauma Training Takeaways: Art is a powerful form of expression, and in the outlet of expressing emotion or storytelling, healing can occur. Engaging in healing work, no matter the form, can bring up trauma and triggers. This requires sensitivity, compassion, and gentleness, whether it’s with yourself or with someone you are engaging with and caring for. Pursuing help and support from a licensed practitioner should always be encouraged and supported.
