This video models some fun poses you do with kiddos to honor the need for movement, support focus, and nurture the need for movement which is true for all individuals, but especially for children! Our Yoga Classes include monthly Children’s Yoga Classes, but this video is a starting point to knowing some of the pose names and how you can teach them to kiddos around you! Elliana also models a few breathing and regulatory techniques from her own perspectives :)

Trauma Training Takeaway: Our bodies need to move as movement is a way that we discharge energy that will otherwise become trapped inside our bodes. Many children find themselves in environments that do not nurture and support movement and so they become labeled as kids who are reactive, defiant, or bad when they reality is that they are not being given tools to regulate their body! Movement is ALWAYS going to be a source of healing.
