Call to Worship: The Divine Design of the Church

The church is God’s divine design; the gift of community where we come together to worship, learn, grow, and do life together. 

We come together, in the spirit of love and holy community. 

O God, for the places the church has inflicted hurt on people, we grieve. May we work to redeem and restore your vision for the church in the world through our actions and our example. 

God, guide us individually and together as a community to love as you love.

May we seek to love people without reservation or restriction. May we strive to be a collective catalyst for justice and peace in our community and the world. 

Here we are God, we are listening and we are willing to be used to pour your love out on the world around us. Amen!

Prayer

Holy God, focus our thoughts on your higher ways and your devine designs. Guide us as we seek to understand your plans, your purposes, and your call to the church. We desire to be your hands and feet in the world O God. Give us the courage to follow your call to love others through our words and actions each day. Amen.
