Call to Worship: I am Coming

Jesus invites us into friendship, where human and holy connect. 

Jesus calls us friends. 

Prayer gives us the privilege to connect with our friend and talk about the big things and the little things in our lives. The joys and the struggles that we experience in our lives. 

All aspects of our lives matter to God. 

There is no right or wrong way to pray. There is no format that is more or less acceptable to God. The Psalmist writes that they heard God say, “Come and talk with me.” May we learn to respond as they did… 

Lord, I am coming.

Prayer:

God, we come to you out of love. We come to you in a spirit of friendship. We come to you as we are. We come to learn, to experience, to be challenged, and to grow in our faith and our understanding of what is holy.  We come to connect with your heart for the world and for us. Amen.
