Trauma Training Takeaways: For some with religious trauma, being inside a building and gathering for a structured service can be triggering even in the most trauma-aware environment. Planning outdoor services can not only reconnect the gatherers with the wild world (the severed relationship between humans and the natural world is also incredibly traumatic), but it can also be healing for those who have never seen a church deviate so significant from the expected church service.
