Call to Worship: Healing Together
Humankind was created for connections, relationships, friendships, love, and community. No one is meant to travel through this life alone.
God designed us to connect with one another.
In our connections, we learn from from the experiences and perspectives of others. In our relationships we learn how to give and experience grace and mercy. In our friendships we develop and practice empathy and care for one another. In love, we learn about ourselves as much as we do those that we love. In community, we collaborate and partner together to accomplish work that is bigger than ourselves.
We experience God in and through our connections with others.
In the context of connections, we also find support for the hard work of healing. We find safe places to process our past. We find solidarity from those who have walked similar journeys. We find encouragement to speak up. We find others who will stay with us as we explore our emotions and navigate our triggers. Our relationships become places of trust where the pains of our past transform into the purpose of the present and the potentials of the future.
We cannot heal alone, healing is an act of connection.
