Trauma Training Takeaways: So often, the laws and policies that are made that directly impact individuals in poverty or individuals that have suffered trauma. These individuals often do not have as much access or capacity for advocacy as so much of their energy is put into surviving. Many laws and policies are also made that impact children or teenagers who do not yet have the ability to vote for themselves. Our political advocacy is a critical way that we provide support for those who are suffering and most vulnerable in our communities.
