Culture and Race in the System

There are a disproportionate amount of people of color in the foster care system, and nationwide, families who are non-white are less likely to reunify and/or receive resources to support stability and sobriety.
Culture also plays such a significant factor in the identity of children and the experience of children being place in homes that do not understand or respect their culture can significantly impact self esteem.
