June 2024 Poetry and Liturgy Writing Workshop

Holly Madden is a poet, liturgist, worship leader, and co-founder of The Flipped Table Collective. She will lead a 90-minute workshop on the power of poetry and liturgy in sacred spaces, how these pieces can be used in worship settings, and public theology and advocacy work. She will also guide participants through the creative process.

The Flipped Table Collective Co-Founder Christie Love is a certified Enneagram trainer who uses the wisdom of the Enneagram in counseling, addiction recovery work, outreach services, preaching, and collaborative partnership building. She will share an overview of the Enneagram, use the narrative style to help participants identify their personal type, and process with participants ways to use this self-awareness tool in a variety of ministry applications.

Rev. Dr. Christie Love is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Flipped Table Collective. In 2018, she led an effort in Springfield, MO, to plant The Connecting Grounds church, which focused its work with unsheltered individuals in numerous innovative ways, including research and data collection, the creation of an outreach center, street outreach, medical outreach, and the conversion of their church to a full-time transitional housing program. She will talk about trends in shelter instability and policies nationwide and present innovative ways that faith communities can help fill gaps in services and support in their communities.
